Extends contract with Philadelphia Glesnes has signed a three-year contract extension with the Union, the club announced Wednesday.
Impact Glesnes took a step up during his second season in Philadelphia, tallying four goals, two assists and 13 clean sheets in 36 MLS games this season, playing every single minute of the season at center back until he had to miss Sunday's Eastern Conference Final while in health and safety protocols. Impact Glesnes was terrific in the loss Sunday. He also did much more than what his stats suggest. The defender has been showing immense offense lately and he continued that here. Glesnes pushed the pace of play from his own third multiple times and it eventually set up the only goal for the Union. He also continued to be a force on the line and he made multiple clearances. Glesnes is starting to bring the whole package and he could become a hot commodity if it continues.
