Back in training McGinn served his quarantine for COVID-19 protocols and is training with Scotland ahead of their upcoming World Cup qualifier.

Impact It's good news for McGinn, who apparently didn't test positive for COVID-19 after being a late absence last Saturday. All signs point to him playing for Scotland and then being in his usual role for Villa's next match which comes Sept. 11 at Chelsea.

Impact McGinn effectively improved across the board as he scored the same number of goals over two seasons while taking less shots and provided more assists with fewer crosses. Heading into the Euros for Scotland and the coming season, his value is definitely better if he's positioned in a more attacking role, though his defensive production does plenty to boost his scoring floor in fantasy.

He is one of the better all-around midfielders in the league and when he is given the chance to push further up the field he does not disappoint. His performance was highlighted by an outstanding goal that showcased his patience, composure and placement from outside the box. McGinn does not always hit value, but if you are in need of a versatile midfielder, he is a great option.
