Impact Martin could make his Lille debut after joining the club from Rennes this offseason. With his former club, the midfielder started 24 of his 29 appearances last season in which he registered one goal on 21 shots (four on target), one assist and nine chances created. While he won't feature against Nantes, Martin should be in the mix for the starting XI as the season continues.

Impact Martin missed the opener with seemingly a small issue he picked up last week but after training well all week this week and should be a full go for Friday. That being said though, the veteran isn't a favorite to get a start even at full fitness with a fully available squad. Benjamin Andre and Angel Gomes should slot at holding midfield again.

Impact Martin has returned to training Friday though, so he should be good to return next week. In a almost completely revamped Lille squad however it's still uncertain if the veteran should be able to carve himself out a regular role in the starting XI, especially after missing critical time in the Summer with this issue.

Impact Martin makes a move to another big name in France and given Les Doggues are in a rebuild mode the veteran could find plenty of playing time until Lille can figure out their new lineup. The holding midfielder does take occasional shots and if he can indeed gain a regular role a few goals and assists could be expected of him.

Turns in quiet season Martin didn't play in the season finale 2-0 win over Nimes.

Impact Martin struggled with some injuries this season which led him to mostly a reserve role even when healthy and barely mounted seven starts all year. He surely could be an influential player and will be hoping for a good preseason and may be a bounce back campaign next season.
