Impact Ayew blasted a free kick into the Southampton wall Saturday only to smash the ensuing loose-ball, first-time, into the back of the net. The goal put the match out of reach as Leicester City eased past the Saints in a 2-0 victory. Ayew's four goals on the season are his most in a Premier League campaign since he scored nine for Crystal Palace during the 2019-2020 season. Saturday was Ayew's first appearance for Leicester since April 2, so it remains to be seen whether he will feature on Saturday against Southampton.

Impact Ayew saw the field for the first time in two games Sunday, appearing for a short stint late into the match after going unused the last two contests. Impact Ayew led a punchless Leicester attack Friday in crosses (six, two accurate) and corners (four) during his 55 minutes of play as Leicester were outclassed by Brentford in a 4-0 defeat. The four corners attempted match a season-high for the veteran, and the performance marks the first occasion this season in which Ayew has tallied more than one accurate cross. Ayew has not found the back of the net since netting the Foxes' lone goal in a Boxing Day loss to Liverpool.

Impact Although he was not involved in either of his side's goals Sunday, Ayew still had a productive outing. He put in solid work on the defensive end too, winning one tackle, intercepting one pass and making two clearances before he was subbed off in the 87th minute for Conor Coady.

Impact Ayew has attempted more than three crosses in two of his last three appearances, though his cross accuracy has been all the same. Ayew remains without an assist this season, though his lack of contributions in that regard has been compensated for somewhat with four goals.
