Charlotte FC sell Jordy Alcivar to Independiente Del Valle Charlotte FC have sold Ecuadorian midfielder Jordy Alcivar to Independiente Del Valle on a permanent basis, the club announced Thursday.
Used sparingly through end of season Alcivar was not involved in Sunday's Decision Day defeat against the Red Bulls.
Impact Alcivar tallied a goal and an assist in 12 MLS appearances (nine starts) during the first few months of the campaign, but he started just one more from June onwards. The 23-year-old will want to improve during the offseason and earn more opportunities to get back into the XI in midfield or on either wing in 2023.

The midfielder has been a solid fantasy option for the most part, though he lacks the goal-scoring upside of others, with only one goal and assist through 12 appearances in 2022. Alcivar will look to keep his recent high-volume form going against NYRB next time out.
