Transfer to Barcelona official Araujo has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with Barcelona after transferring from the Galaxy, the club announced Friday.

Impact Araujo has emerged as one of the best full-backs in MLS recently, as the 21-year-old tallied 11 assists and 11 clean sheets in 67 appearances (64 starts) across his last two seasons for the Galaxy. It is unclear whether he will be eligible to feature in La Liga for the remainder of this campaign so he may remain with the reserve team for now, but Araujo offers a true option at right-back that Barcelona is currently lacking once he does link up with the senior team.
