Impact Tierney briefly returned to the pitch in an early July friendly against FC Nurnberg after missing the final two months of last season with a knee injury, but he's still dealing with the issue only a few weeks before the start of the upcoming campaign. It's a good sign therefore that he was able to train with a ball this week.
