Ferran Torres - Takes three shots in lossTorres had three shots (two on target), created two chances and drew two fouls during Sunday's 2-0 loss against Villarreal.
ImpactTorres was one of his side's most dangerous players here, pacing his side in shots attempted, but couldn't find the back of the net, seeing his scoreless streak being extended to 10 league matches. This was a disappointing end of campaign for a player who had four goals and three assists over his first domestic matches after joining Barcelona from Manchester City in January.

Pau Torres - Plays well in season finaleTorres made two tackles (one won), six clearances and one block while helping his side to keep a clean sheet during Sunday's 2-0 win over Barcelona.
ImpactTorres formed a great partnership with Raul Albiol as both were crucial for Villarreal to shut down opposing strikers and withstand some stretches of heavy pressure. This was another superb campaign for the talented centre back, who scored five goals and made one assist, created nine chances, made 32 tackles, 103 clearances and 23 blocks. Torres will certainly be subject of many rumors related to transfers to major European clubs, so this could very well have been his last match with the Yellow Submarine.

Raul Albiol - Makes 12 clearances in winAlbiol made 12 clearances and two blocks while helping his side to keep a clean sheet during Sunday's 2-0 win over Barcelona.
ImpactAlbiol finished his campaign in style, putting up another spectacular performance to shut down Barcelona's strong attack. This was the centre back's third game with double-digit clearances since Apr. 12 and, with his latest performance, he's shown that age doesn't slow him down yet. Over 28 league starts, Albiol racked up 124 clearances, 26 tackles, 21 interceptions, 15 blocks and 11 clean sheets.

Geronimo Rulli - Keeps clean sheet in winRulli made three saves and kept a clean sheet during Sunday's 2-0 win over Barcelona.
ImpactRulli was one of the biggest reasons why Villarreal was able to escape with a 2-0 win as he showed his reflexes to make important interventions when called into action and showed a lot of poise during moments of bigger pressure from the opposition. Despite failing big in the game that could've led his side to the UCL final, the goalkeeper was still one of La Liga's best goalkeepers this season, with 75 saves, only 28 goals allowed and 14 clean sheets over 32 starts.

Moi Gomez - Scores in winGomez scored a goal off his lone shot during Sunday's 2-0 win over Barcelona.
ImpactGomez was back in the starting XI after being an unused substitute during the previous four matches. The midfielder was struggling to make an impact with the ball but then, in the 55th minute, received a huge giveaway when Adama Traore practically assisted him when trying to clear the ball from the box. He then was able to control it and fire a powerful left-footer from ahead of the penalty spot to double Villarreal's lead. This was just the second goal of the season for Gomez, who didn't have much playing time over the last few months and, over his 29 league appearances, couldn't rack up significant fantasy numbers.

Dani Parejo - Provides assist in winParejo made an assist, created one chance, sent in two inaccurate crosses and was shown a yellow card during Sunday's 2-0 win over Barcelona.
ImpactParejo was having a quiet peformance here, but he needs just once chance to make an impact. And it came in the 41st minute, when he picked the ball with no other player around and sent the ball into the right spot to assist Alfonso Pedraza for the opening goal of the match. This was the 10th league assist of the season for the playmaker, the fourth over the last three matches. Parejo also had two goals, 66 chances created, 143 crosses and 43 tackles over 33 domestic apperances (32 starts).

Alfonso Pedraza - Scores opener in winPedraza scored a goal off two shots (both on target), made three tackles (one won), two clearances and three interceptions and helped his side to keep a clean sheet during Sunday's...
ImpactPedraza had a lot of work defensively, with both Dani Alves and Adama Traore attacking from his flank. However, he was the one with the biggest offensive contribution as he went up the field at the right time, picking up Dani Parejo's beautiful pass into empty space and sending the ball past the goalkeeper to open the scoring for Villarreal in the 41st minute. The left back scored three of his four league goals over the last three matches of the season and also finished his campaign with four assists, 24 chances created, 101 crosses, 34 tackles, 29 clearances and 31 interceptions over 28 domestic appearances (19 starts). Competition at left back will probably be strong once again next season, but Pedraza showed he's more than apt to perform when given the chance.
