Jonny Evans - Contract discussions ongoing Evans and Leicester City are working toward a contract extension, the club announced Monday.
Impact Evans will be out of contract at the end of June but seems willing to discuss remaining with the club despite its relegation to the Championship. In his 13 matches (12 starts) this season, Evans recorded 49 clearances, 18 interceptions and 13 tackles.

Hamza Choudhury - One-year option picked up Choudhury will remain with the Foxes for another season after the club picked up his one-year option Monday.
Impact Choudhury spent the season on loan with Watford for which he started all 36 of his appearances and garnered 11 shots (two on target), 20 crosses (two accurate) and 108 tackles. With the departures of Youri Tielemans and Nampalys Mendy, Choudhury could be in contention to feature for the Foxes in the Championship next season.

Nampalys Mendy - Won't return to Leicester Mendy will not be back with the Foxes for the 2023-24 campaign, the club announced Monday.
Impact Mendy saw action in 23 matches (10 starts) this season, in which he recorded one goal on four shots (one on target), 17 tackles and 16 interceptions, but was also an unused substitute 14 times. With Mendy out of contract heading into next season, he will no doubt be eager to find a landing spot that includes more playing time.

Impact Justin will probably be hard-pressed to be ready for the start of the 2023-24 campaign after undergoing Achilles surgery back in November. Additionally, the fact that he is recovering from a long-term injury and is under contract through 2026, Justin will likely have to remain with Foxes in the second-tier Championship.

Danny Ward - Misses last three matches Ward (finger) was unavailable for the last three contests of the season.
Impact Ward had been replaced by Daniel Iversen as the preferred choice between the sticks prior to suffering his finger injury. With Ward seemingly out of favor, he may seek a better opportunity during the summer transfer window, especially after the team was dropped to the Championship.

Impact In part due to injury, Vestergaard logged just three matches for the senior squad this season, twice in the Carabao Cup and once in the FA Cup. Since joining Foxes from Southampton ahead of the 2021-22 campaign, Vestergaard has struggled for minutes, having logged just 23 total matches for the club. With the demotion to the Championship, it's possible Vestergaard see more opportunities in the starting XI.

Impact Bertrand hasn't gotten onto the pitch for Leicester since Dec. 22, 2021, in a Carabao Cup clash with Liverpool due to his long-term knee injury. Considering how long his recovery has been, it seems unlikely the club will want to re-sign the defender and will likely allow him to move elsewhere on a free transfer, assuming the 33-year-old Bertrand even wants to continue playing.

Impact Maddison returned to the XI and was very dangerous as his side defeated West Ham on Sunday, but it wasn't enough to save Leicester from relegation. Maddison ends the campaign with 10 goals and a new personal record of nine assists from 30 Premier League appearances (28 starts) mostly either from attacking midfield or the right wing, and the 26-year-old is likely to move on from the Foxes rather than stay with the club in the Championship next season.
