Harvey Barnes - Should be fine after knee scare Barnes was forced off early in Sunday's friendly against Sevilla but is expected to be fine, according to manager Brendan Rodgers.

Impact Barnes will have some scans done, but the medical team doesn't believe it to be an issue. For now, he should be good ahead of Sunday's opener against Brentford, but more updates will likely be revealed in the coming days. He's slated to start the opener after finding some form in the second half of last season having started 24 matches the entire campaign.

A possible absence means more time for Timothy Castagne and James Justin with Luke Thomas helping off the bench.

Impact It's a positive sign for Ndidi, as he still has two weeks to get up his fitness for the season opener. Assuming all goes well, he should feature in next weekend's friendly and then be ready to start in the Aug. 7 opener. When healthy, he's a regular in the starting XI, something he wasn't last season which resulted in just 18 starts.

Wilfred Ndidi - Preparing for friendly Ndidi (ankle) is listed in the match day roster for Saturday's preseason match against Derby County.

Impact Ndidi looks to be on track for the Aug. 7 match against Brentford, but he'll need to make substantial progress by then in order to be a starter. Should that happen, Ndidi can start competing with Nampalys Mendy and Youri Tielemans for minutes in defensive-midfield.
