Impact It's not an overly positive update on Thiago, who suffered a setback in his recovery a couple weeks ago. It sounds like he's still another couple weeks from a return and as his return lengthens, it only hurts his chances of finding a spot back in the squad. Following the additions this summer, Thiago doesn't exactly have a guaranteed spot in the squad, as he was rumored to move away from Liverpool in the past window.

Ibrahima Konate - Should be option Saturday Konate (hamstring) has trained the last two days and is expected to be an option Saturday against Wolves, according to manager Jurgen Klopp.

Impact Konate has been out a little more than three weeks with this injury and will be a late call for this match. He probably shouldn't return immediately, but he has a couple days of training in him and Liverpool are thin on the back line. If he doesn't start, it could be a situation where Jarell Quansah gets a surprise call or even Conor Bradley comes into the XI for Trent Alexander-Arnold at right-back, as Joe Gomez and Joel Matip are already backups projected to start.

Impact This sounds more like a regular hamstring injury for Alexander-Arnold, which hadn't been reported until now. He suffered the injury Sept. 3, which means he probably shouldn't return until the end of the month, at the earliest. That points to time for Joe Gomez at right-back unless Conor Bradley makes a move to the senior squad.

That said with Liverpool likely rotating to meet the demands of the Europa League, Gakpo should still have plenty of opportunities.
