Slippery slope in win Cucurella was sent off after acquiring two yellow cards in the 98th minute of Sunday's 2-1 victory over Brentford. He scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal), three cross... Impact Cucurella was responsible for Chelsea's first goal, which he scored by heading in a Noni Madueke cross. But just before extra time in the second half, Cucurella failed to chase down Kevin Schade on their flank, which resulted in the latter assisting Bryan Mbeumo's goal. Cucurella did not improve in injury time, which saw him get booked for fouling Fabio Carvalho. To cap off his slippery slope, Cucurella got a post-game yellow for pushing Schade, meaning he will be suspended for Chelsea's game at Everton next Sunday. In three games the left-back has already sat out this season, Malo Gusto and Reece James (hamstring) were the Blues' full-backs. But with James out until 2025, previous lineups suggest Moises Caicedo will move to a full-back position and pave the way for a Romeo Lavia start. Either that, or one of Chelsea's other defenders moves out left.
