Tani Oluwaseyi - Inks extension Oluwaseyi has signed a contract extension with Minnesota, according to his club.
Impact Oluwaseyi will remain with Minnesota for the next few years, with the forward signing a contract extension until the 2027 season and holding an option for the 2028 season. This is solid news for the Canadian, as he scored eight goals and assisted five in 28 appearances (10 starts) last season. He will hope to find a bigger role throughout the remainder of his extension, however, he has numerous competitors in the forward room to beat out before coming close to starting time.

Wil Trapp - Still negotiating Trapp remains in contract negotiations with Minnesota, the club announced.
Impact Trapp was on the list of players declined for 2025 by Minnesota, but unsurprisingly, the club still has interest in bringing him back. The midfielder made 30 appearances in 2024, scoring and assisting once. He's a rock-solid presence in holding midfield and if he can agree a new deal he'll be in line for major minutes.

Tani Oluwaseyi - Earns another year Oluwaseyi will be back with Minnesota in 2025 after his contract option was picked up.
Impact Oluwaseyi's option being picked up isn't surprising, his first full season with the Loons was brilliant. He scored eight times and added five assists in just 1,151 minutes. If he can maintain that sort of efficiency, or anywhere near it, over a larger role, he could be an elite producer in 2025.

Bongokuhle Hlongwane - Returning to Minnesota Hlongwane will be back with Minnesota in 2025 after his contract option was picked up.
Impact Hlongwane has been a key piece of the attack for three seasons, and 2024 was a brilliant year. He scored 11 goals while playing a career-high 35 matches and earning 26 starts. Hlongwane should be a focal point of the Minnesota attack heading into 2025.

Impact Dotson will return to Minnesota in 2025 after his contract option was picked up. The midfielder is a huge part of the first team, and 2024 may have been his best season yet. He scored five goals and added two assists, totaling 2,517 minutes in 32 appearances (29 starts.)

Impact Padelford will be back in 2025 after his first season as the starting option in Minnesota. The defender made 24 appearances (19 starts) but failed to find any sort of offensive contributions. Padelford will hope to continue his major role in 2025.

Anthony Markanich - Brought back for 2025 Markanich is set to return to Minnesota after his contract option for 2025 was picked up.
Impact Markanich will be back in 2025, where he will likely hope to earn a more significant role. After making the switch to Minnesota from St. Louis he only played four times, starting once. Still moving forward he could find a larger role with a full pre-season.

Dayne St. Clair - Returning in 2025 St. Clair is set to return in 2025 after his option was picked up.
Impact St. Clair will be back in 2025 as the goalkeeper is set to return as one of the best in MLS. St. Clair has made 29 or more appearances in each of the last three matches and kept clean sheets for two seasons in a row. He conceded just 38 goals in 29 matches in 2024.

Alec Smir - Option picked up Smir is set to return to Minnesota after his option for 2025 was picked up.
Impact Smir made three starts for the club due to injuries ahead of him, and did enough to earn another year. He will remain the backup option, and barring injury or suspension it's unlikely Smir will see many chances for the senior team in 2025.

Impact Yeboah has been a revelation for Minnestoa, but his efforts weren't enough to surpass the firepower of the Galaxy on Sunday. He ends the season with nine goals and two assists in just eleven starts.
