ImpactWingo last appeared in MLS in 2019 with Seattle before going off to Europe. The midfielder now moves back to MLS, this time signing with Toronto, where he should provide more depth. The midfielder has the talent that he could eventually compete for starts in the back half of the season.

ImpactSince recovering from a hamstring injury he suffered early May, Marshall-Rutty has intertwined between starter and reserve. But by logging an assist at Miami, perhaps he has bettered his chances of thinning that role gap more toward the former. Regardless, Marshall-Rutty now has three assists across 2024, two of them recorded as a reserve.

ImpactDespite suffering a knock during his first appearance of July, Etienne has not sat out any games since then. The 27-year-old also scored during that game, something he replicated Wednesday. Etienne has two goals across his four appearances in July.

ImpactDespite being demoted from Toronto FC's starting XI on Wednesday, Longstaff played at least half an hour then and impressed during his short timeframe. Longstaff's number of total and accurate crosses Wednesday are season highs. Ideally for him, the Miami game is an indication of better form to come later but relatively soon, considering his statistical output has taken a notable dip since summer came along.
