ImpactBlake was beaten by a Kellyn Acosta free kick (which took a major deflection) and headers from Jesus Murillo and Gareth Bale as Saturday's epic MLS Cup Final went to a penalty shootout. Blake saved Cristian Tello's initial attempt before Denis Bouanga, Ryan Hollingshead and Ilie Sanchez were all able to slot home and send the trophy to Los Angeles. But Blake can hold his head high after leading the league in clean sheets (16) and conceding just 30 goals in 37 appearances this season, and he also became the first player to ever win three MLS Goalkeeper of the Year awards.
