Andre Blake - Makes another penalty save in lossBlake made two saves and conceded twice during the 2-1 loss to New England on Sunday.
ImpactBlake was terrific in the loss Sunday and he performed much better than what his stats suggest. The keeper was the only one keeping New England at bay and he was clearly frustrated with his defense in front of him. He was also struck with unfortunate luck when he saved a penalty to only have it bounce right back to the taker who then scored on the second attempt. Even though Blake has not looked great since his return from the Gold Cup, he is still one of the strongest options in the league at his position.

Paxten Aaronson - Scores highlight goal for firstAaronson scored once, took one shot (one on target), created one chance, sent two crosses (none accurate) and made three tackles (one won) in the 2-1 loss to New England on Sunday.
ImpactAaronson put together another strong outing in the loss Sunday. This outing also marked his first professional start and he ran away with it. Aaronson beat multiple defenders and then scored a highlight goal for his first in his career. With Philadelphia struggling to find consistent creativity in the midfield, this performance may have just rewarded Aaronson with a more cement role on the first team moving forward.

Jack Mcglynn - Shines in fourth career startMcGlynn created four chances, sent seven crosses (three accurate) and took six corners during the 2-1 loss to New England on Sunday.
ImpactMcGlynn was terrific in certain aspects of his game during the loss Sunday. The midfielder created numerous chances --something that is drastically needed in Philadelphia's midfield-- and he took all of the set-pieces. The only problem is without the set-pieces McGlynn would not have much value if at all. After barely seeing any playing time the last four appearances, McGlynn finally received another start. Although, it remains to be seen if he will start getting more playing time or not.

Jakob Glesnes - Extends point streak to two gamesGlesnes assisted once, created two chances and made one tackle (one won) in the 2-1 loss to New England on Sunday.
ImpactGlesnes was terrific in the loss Sunday. He also did much more than what his stats suggest. The defender has been showing immense offense lately and he continued that here. Glesnes pushed the pace of play from his own third multiple times and it eventually set up the only goal for the Union. He also continued to be a force on the line and he made multiple clearances. Glesnes is starting to bring the whole package and he could become a hot commodity if it continues.

Sergio Santos - Rocks three shots in 2-1 lossSantos took three shots (two on target) and created one chance in the 2-1 loss to New England on Sunday.
ImpactSantos was one of the best players in terms of raw offense for Philadelphia in the loss Sunday. The forward had numerous chances, however he could not convert any of them. He did look a little off in the game though and he did not present the same pace that helps him break free from defenders. As long as teammate Cory Burke is out, Santos will be the bulk of the offense.
