Kei Kamara - Assists game-winning goalKamara assisted once to go with one shot (zero on goal) and one chance created in Sunday's 2-1 win over Vancouver Whitecaps FC.
ImpactKamara came through when LAFC needed him once again, and his perfect set-up allowed Ilie Sanchez to score the wininng goal on stoppage time. Kamara is a proven scorer in the league, but his substitute role means he won't have a lot of fantasy upside going forward.
OCTOBER 14ROTOWIRE
Ilie Sanchez - Scores game-winning goalSanchez scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal) in Sunday's 2-1 win versus Vancouver Whitecaps FC.
ImpactSanchez bagged the game-winning goal in the 93rd minute after a perfect set-up from Kei Kamara. As heroic as his effort was, however, Sanchez is a defensive-minded player who rarely starts. so his fantasy upside will be close to minimal going forward.
OCTOBER 14ROTOWIRE
Yohei Takaoka - Concedes twice SundayTakaoka recorded two saves and allowed two goals in Sunday's 2-1 loss to Los Angeles Football Club.
ImpactTakaoka couldn't do much in the first goal since he was helpless by Mateusz Bogusz's impressive finish, and he couldn't stop Ilie's perfectly-placed shot from outside the box in the 93nd minute, either. Takaoka has now gone six straight matches conceding at least once and has given up two or more goals in three of his last five appearances.
OCTOBER 14ROTOWIRE
Brian White - Takes five shots SundayWhite registered five shots (one on goal) and one chance created in Sunday's 2-1 defeat versus Los Angeles Football Club.
ImpactWhite was active in the final third, but unfortunately, he couldn't find the back of the net. Still, he should continue being a menace for the Whitecaps in the final game of the regular season against RSL on Saturday. He has 15 goals across 29 appearances in 2024.
OCTOBER 14ROTOWIRE
Sebastian Berhalter - Generates own goalBerhalter recorded five shots (one on goal), 10 crosses (two accurate) and three corners in Sunday's 2-1 loss versus Los Angeles Football Club.
ImpactBerhalter was Vancouver's best player by a wide margin in this game, and the talented playmaker was often at the center of the majority of the Whitecaps' attacking sequences. He should remain a player capable of filling out the stat sheet ahead of the regular-season finale against Real Salt Lake on Saturday. Berhalter has seen an uptick in his minutes of late, and he has racked two goals, seven shots, 13 chances created, 55 crosses and 22 corners in his last six appearances (five starts).
OCTOBER 14ROTOWIRE
Sergi Palencia - Scores own goal SundayPalencia registered an own goal, one shot (zero on goal) and five crosses (one accurate) in Sunday's 2-1 win versus Vancouver Whitecaps FC. In addition, he was given a yellow card...
ImpactPalencia attempted to clear a Sebastian Berhalter cross into the box, but instead, his header beat Hugo Lloris and represented Vancouver's equalizer midway through the second half. Palencia has been a regular starter for LAFC with 25 starts out of 29 appearances, and his regular role won't be at risk in the playoffs for one mistake in a regular-season contest.
OCTOBER 14ROTOWIRE
Hugo Lloris - Beaten by teammate SundayLloris had four saves and allowed one goal in Sunday's 2-1 victory against Vancouver Whitecaps FC.
ImpactLloris was so good throughout the game that the only way he was beaten was on a deflection by a teammate on a cross into the box. Lloris should play a critical role for LAFC in the playoffs, as he's one of the most experienced goalkeepers in the league -- and also one of the best ones from a quality perspective.
