At least Newcastle’s fight to stay in the English Premier League won’t be hampered by a deep run in the FA Cup

Impact Dummett made his first squad of the season because of an ongoing muscle injury, but he still couldn't get minutes in a Cup match. He doesn't figure to find much time at Newcastle, especially if they add more pieces in the transfer window.

Impact Saint-Maximin made somewhat of a surprise return Saturday after he was last seen picking up an injury in the Dec. 27 contest. It looks like it wasn't anything major and he's ready to take up the central forward role with Callum Wilson out an extended period.

Impact Ritchie returned to the team Saturday after missing the Dec. 27 match, possibly with COVID-19. He seems to be the No. 1 left-back for Newcastle, but that could change if they add someone else. He's started just one of the last six league matches for a variety of reasons.

This season at Atletico, Trippier managed 15 starts across league and UCL, totaling 38 crosses.
