Lewis Miley could see more chances in the starting XI in the back half of the season with Joelinton sidelined, especially as Joe Willock (Achilles) also works on a major injury recovery.

Miguel Almiron - Continues as starter Almiron has started in all but five of the club's 27 matches across all competitions this season, registering four goals on 46 shots and one assist on 22 chances created.
Impact Almiron continues to hold the starting spot on the right flank of the attack for Newcastle, now holding that spot for a fourth straight season with the club. His presence on the wing still causes problems for opposing defenders due to his strength and speed on the ball, but he has failed to be as clinical in the final third as last season, only having four goal contributions in league play this season after a Premier League career-high of 13 last campaign. He did go on a hot streak earlier this season, notching three goals in as many matches, but since then, he has only registered one goal and an assist in 18 games played. He will hope to improve on this moving forward as if he can add more scoring that could greatly boost a Newcastle team that seems to be faltering at the moment.
