Impact Barnes has appeared in all four matches for Newcastle this season but is yet to register a start, only ever coming off the bench as a substitute. The 25-year-old joined the club in late July as a highly anticipated signing but is yet to register much time on the field with only 90 minutes under his belt. He did well in his first match to score a goal in the 5-1 rout of Aston Villa but still has to earn his spot on the flank as he waits behind Miguel Almiron and Anthony Gordon.

Elliot Anderson - Withdraws from national team duty Anderson picked up a knock while training with Scottland and was forced to withdraw from the national team camp, per the Chronicle Live.
Impact Anderson has yet to start a match for the team this season, making all four of his appearances off the bench. In that span, he's recorded just two tackles and created two chances. The midfielder will now return Newcastle as he will likely begin treatment on his injury, leaving him in doubt for Sep 16 clash with Brentford.

Impact Schar has started all four games this season and appears to be back in his normal starting position after starting in 36 of Newcaslte's 38 games last campaign. He came inot the season nursing a hamstring injury but seems to be 100 percent after playing the full 90 in every appearance this season. Schar plays purely as a center back and should not be expected to register much production in the attack, only having two shots (one on target) this season.

Dan Burn - Accumulates nine tackles Burn has registered nine tackles (four won), two interceptions and six clearances through four matches.
Impact Burn was a staple of Newcastle's starting lineup last season, and it seems he will be one again after starting the first four games of this year's campaign. He has been solid through the first couple of games but still hasn't provided anything too special, having yet to bag a goal contribution or a clean sheet. He has been unfortunate to face the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool and Brighton in his first couple of matches but will have an easier road ahead as his next three premier league games are against Brentford, Burnley and Sheffield.
