Impact Cozza was expected to replace Paulo Otavio in the starting XI when he made the switch from Montpellier. Instead the defender played just five times totaling 97 minutes and made no starts. With a back-three that worked excellently in the closing stages of the Bundesliga Cozza faces no clear path to playing time in 2023/24.

Transfers to Wolfsburg Cozza has signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with Wolfsburg after transferring from Montpellier, the club announced Wednesday.

Impact Cozza wracked up five goals, five assists and 13 clean sheets across 99 Ligue 1 appearances (85 starts) since breaking into Montpellier's senior team in 2017. The 24-year-old can play both in central defense and at left-back and he's now moving to the Bundesliga with Wolfsburg.
