Impact Wood assumed his usual role Saturday as Forest's lone striker. The New Zealand international was lively in attack but only managed to fire one shot which resulted in the game's opening goal. He has been in hot form, along with this goal he netted three and produced an assist from Forest's four pre-season games. Taiwo Awoniyi replaced him after 72 minutes.

Impact Sels posted a solid performance Saturday. Impact Danilo looks to be facing a lengthy absence on the sidelines after his scary injury in the season opener Saturday, as after nine minutes of treatment and being stretchered to the hospital, it has been announced he broke his ankle. This will leave him out for some time and is a brutal loss for the club, as he was set to be a regular starter, with Nicolas Dominguez or Elliot Anderson being his likely replacement moving forward. Danilo will probably be sidelined for around four to five months with his injury, missing most of the season but not ruling out a return before the end of the campaign.
