Returns off bench Saturday Romeu (hamstring) came off the bench and played 18 minutes in Saturday's 4-3 win over Leganes. He registered one tackle and three clearances.

Impact Romeu returned after a five-game absence, and the veteran midfielder should be ready to return to the lineup for the clash against PSV Eindhoven in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday. Romeu's experience will be valuable for a Girona side that has been decimated by injuries in recent weeks.

However, he did still appear in almost every league match, being a decent option to close out games due to his defensive ability, notching 10 interceptions, 18 clearances and 34 tackles in the defense. He still has a couple of years left on his contract with the club, probably serving in the same role next season.
