Impact In spite of a disappointing season with Paris Saint-Germain, Dembele was called up by France's national team for Euro 2024. And despite beginning said tournament poorly against Austria, he gradually improved during the group stage, culminating with his great effort Tuesday. In terms of overall results, Dembele's most significant contribution was getting fouled by Jakub Kiwior, which resulted in a penalty kick France captain Kylian Mbappe successfully converted. Dembele also fared well statistically, considering he led the French team in crosses, corners and chances created.
