Impact Kolo Muani came off the bench Wednesday after Marco Asensio (hamstring) was injured and subbed off in the 39th minute. Kolo Muani immediately became involved in the attack, however it was an inefficient day as none of his five shots were on target. He has yet to start a game this season, and now he may have the chance since Asensio's status is uncertain.

Impact While Hakimi often finds himself as part of the attack, Wednesday's Champions League opener was a new level. He took six shots, by far his most in a PSG shirt, in addition to creating four chances and recording four crosses for the third time in his last four matches (including Ligue 1). He also was strong defensively, winning one tackle, intercepting two passes and making two clearances in the clean sheet. Hakimi has shown early on that he will be a more threatening attacker than he was last season, making him likely to be one of the most productive defenders in the world.

Impact Dembele led the attack Wednesday as he took a team-high and a season-high eight shots, with two on target. He also created three chances for his teammates and took three corners. Dembele has had an excellent start to the season and early signs are pointing towards him being PSG's talisman following the departure of Kylian Mbappe.

Impact Safonov made his first career PSG start Wednesday and marked the occasion with a clean sheet. His defense played an excellent 90 minutes, only needing Safonov to make a single save. Although it's unlikely he will play next time around in the Champions League (at Arsenal on Oct. 1), Safonov should have more opportunities when PSG plays weaker sides.
