Signs extension, gets loaned out Cabanes has signed a contract extension with Villarreal until the end of the 2027/28 season and has also been loaned out to Alaves until the end of the current campaign.

Impact Cabanes has made 10 appearances off the bench for Villarreal this season but has accounted for only 155 minutes, so he doesn't carry a lot of fantasy upside. He'll add depth upfront for Alaves, but it's unclear if he'll experience a sizable uptick in his minutes.

Scores as sub in road win Cabanes scored one goal to go with three shots (two on goal) and one corner in Sunday's 5-2 win against Leganes.

Impact Cabanes subbed on in the second half and scored his first goal in the campaign during stoppage time to seal the deal. The forward also logged a season-high three shots despite playing only 23 minutes. That was his seventh appearance off bench so far.
