Impact Max took occasional turns in the starting XI, but largely struggled and never established himself atop the depth chart. The left-back is a nice piece of depth and he offers a more attacking option when needed, but it's tough to see a long-term path to major minutes for Max.

Impact Max has been the de facto first choice at left-back but wasn't added to the Conference League registration. Niels Nkounkou and and Ansgar Knauff will likely be the top options at left-back, at least in European competition.

Impact Max only made it 45 minutes before being forced off the pitch. There was no specific injury to point to as he made it to half time but the wing-back did ride multiple heavy challenges. Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe could see a start at left wing-back if Max is unable to get fit over the course of the international break.

Loan made permanent Max's loan move to Frankfurt has been made permanent, the club announced.

Impact Max moved on loan from PSV and has now had his loan move made permanent. The wing-back ends his first season in the Bundesliga with 10 appearances (eight starts) while assisting once and sending in 60 crosses. Max was a consistent starter at left wing-back when fit, and heads into 2023/24 as the top option.

Impact Max is available for a cameo off the bench but is unlikely to see any major playing time in the Bundesliga finale. Impact This is unfortunate news for Max, who will be out indefinitely with a hamstring injury. Christopher Lenz should be the next player up to replace him in the lineup, who has gotten the start 10 times in 22 appearances in all competitions.
