Danilo Oliveira - Set for surgeryDanilo (ankle) is set to undergo surgery on Monday to repair a broken ankle suffered against Bournemouth, reports Bruno Andrade of CNN Portugal.

ImpactDanilo was stretchered off in the 15th minute of Saturday's opening match with a broken ankle being confirmed following the conclusion of the fixture. The midfielder is hopeful that following surgery he'll be able to return to training in about six to eight weeks.

ImpactCook played in his usual role Saturday, controlling the center of midfield. He is usually partnered with Ryan Christie but it was Alex Scott who started with him to his right. He was the Cherries key playmaker trying to build opportunities from corners and crossing. The 27-year-old always puts in a solid shift but his contributions tend to be helping defense when required and initiating plays that indirectly lead to goals. Subsequently he creates few assists and goal shooting attempts himself. He was subbed after 84 minutes.

ImpactOuattara had the ball in the back of the net following a first half goalmouth scramble, but it was later removed for offside following a VAR check. The Burkina Faso international found the net during the summer in an international for his country but could have been more effective in this game. Despite leading the Cherries attack down their right flank he did not manage any shots on target and unsurprisingly was subbed after 62 minutes for Daniel Jebbison.

ImpactHudson-Odoi was lively down Forest's attacking left flank Saturday. He was their corner taker from the left side and was unlucky not to score from his two on goal attempts that both challenged Cherries keeper, Neto. He was subbed after 72 minutes. The attacking midfielder looks like he is ready to make an active contribution to his team's season. He scored one in their pre-season friendlies and bagged three from Forest's last three matches of the 2023-24 campaign.

Ryan Yates - Threatening in draw with CherriesYates recorded three shots (two on goal) and created one chance in Saturday's 1-1 draw versus AFC Bournemouth.

ImpactYates came on after 15 minutes Saturday replacing an injured Danilo. He quickly established himself as one of Forest's more dangerous attacking threats. The rebound from his saved attempt setup Chris Wood's goal, he had another effort that took sharp goalkeeping to stop and a strike that looked goal bound which was blocked. The attacking midfielder will be one to watch this season, he scored and created an assist from Forest's last three games of the 2023-24 season and bagged two in their last match, a pre-season against Olympiacos.

Chris Wood - Strikes in draw with CherriesWood scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal) in Saturday's 1-1 draw versus AFC Bournemouth.

ImpactWood assumed his usual role Saturday as Forest's lone striker. The New Zealand international was lively in attack but only managed to fire one shot which resulted in the game's opening goal. He has been in hot form, along with this goal he netted three and produced an assist from Forest's four pre-season games. Taiwo Awoniyi replaced him after 72 minutes.

Matz Sels - Three saves in draw with CherriesSels made three saves and allowed one goal in Saturday's 1-1 draw versus AFC Bournemouth.

ImpactSels posted a solid performance Saturday. He pulled off a world class save to prevent a free kick strike from Marcus Tavernier, and had little chance to stop Antoine Semenyo's goal from a close range effort, but made a valiant attempt. The Belgian international took over from Matt Turner as Forest's starting keeper when he arrived from RC Strasbourg in January 2024.
