PLAYER NEWS

Matheus Franca
Franca (groin) has been sidelined for eight months due to a groin injury, which has hindered the young Brazilian's adaptation to the Premier League. Recently, he experienced a setback in his recovery, prompting the team to take a cautious approach in his rehabilitation, coach Oliver Glasner updated. "He's training again. It was just a setback. It's not a new injury. He just got a little bit of reaction in his hip area. The surgery and all the problems in the last month. He's now been out for eight months and we are very cautious. It's important to get him back into the best shape, on a very stable level, with training and playing. Then we want to see the best Franca possible. To be honest, Crystal Palace has yet to see the best Franca, because of coming over from Brazil as a 19-year-old boy and taking time to adapt to the Premier League. Then being out for eight months. We are now supporting him to show the best Franca he can be. Then, I believe, he will have a very positive impact on us."
Adam Wharton
Wharton (groin) is hoping to start training again by the end of January or the start of February, according to manager Olivier Glasner. "Adam [Wharton] will not be in [in the squad] but he is making progress. Everything is going in the right direction, I expect him back training with the team, maybe the end of January, but probably the beginning of February."
Lucas Paqueta
Paqueta scored one goal to go with two shots (one on goal) and one cross (zero accurate) in Tuesday's 3-2 victory versus Fulham. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 53rd minute.
Lukasz Fabianski
Fabianski recorded two saves and allowed two goals in Tuesday's 3-2 win versus Fulham.
