Transfers to D.C. Romo has signed an 18-month contract with D.C. United with the option to extend for an additional year after transferring from Belgian side OH Leuven, the club announced Wednesday. Impact Romo has experience from playing all around the world, from Venezuela, to Italy, to England, to Cyprus, to Denmark, and most recently, a two-year stint in Belgium where he kept seven clean sheets in 48 appearances with OH Leuven. The 32-year-old now moves to MLS, where he will compete with Jon Kempin in D.C. until starting goalkeeper Bill Hamid (hamstring) returns from injury.
