Won't be back next season Gikiewicz will not have his contract renewed for 2023/24, Augsburg announced Friday.

The goalkeeper had a clause based on appearances to extend his deal, but couldn't meet it due to a shoulder injury. The goalkeeper will hope to make some sort of return for a Sunday clash with Dortmund to bid farewell to the Augsburg faithful, though it may still be Tomas Koubek in net as Augsburg prepare for a changing of the guard.
