Bobby Wood - Undergoes surgery Wood (groin) is expected to miss 8-10 weeks after undergoing surgery on his adductor, Real Salt Lake announced Friday. Impact Wood had to come off in the first half of last weekend's win over San Jose due to the adductor injury he suffered, and he is now set to miss an extended period of time following this surgery. He has three goals and one assist in 14 MLS appearances (13 starts) so far, but the club is confident that he will return to fitness by the end of the season, and the expected recovery timeline would point to a return some time in August. Rubio Rubin will likely be the preferred option to replace him up front alongside Sergio Cordova, but Jefferson Savarino (normally a right winger) could also be trialled in the position.
