Impact Saturday marked Ruan's first game as a reserve across 2024. But with that appearance, he logged the assist to CF Montreal's lone goal Saturday. Having been a regular starter for Montreal across 2024, it is difficult to envision Ruan not being back in the team's starting XI, especially after he finished Saturday with his third assist this year.

Impact Ruan was once again a nice source of offense from the right, being active on the build-up of plays and launching multiple crosses into the opposition's box. And to make things even better for those who picked him, the full-back appeared unmarked inside the six-yard-box to slot home a cross from the left and seal the 4-2 win for Montreal during the stoppage time. This was the first goal of the year for Ruan, who racked up four or more crosses in four of his last seven starts.

Impact Ruan, who was traded to CF Montreal from D.C. United for right-back Aaron Herrera during December 2023, gained a measure of revenge against his old team. He logged one accurate cross, which Sunusi Ibrahim headed to score Montreal's second goal Wednesday. The assist marks Ruan's second since he was traded by D.C. United.

Impact Ruan was excellent throughout 2023 and the five assists represent a higher tally than anything he managed with Orlando, despite playing just 24 matches (15 starts.)
