Scheduled for farewell ceremony Rode (knee) is expected to be honored during Saturday's match against Leipzig, said manager Dino Toppmoller.

Impact Though it is unclear if Rode will plat Saturday, he is scheduled to be honored in front of the home fans as he is set to retire following the conclusion of the match. His last appearances was back in February, only starting once in seven appearances while recording just 56 minutes of play on the pitch.

Impact Rode has made another advancement in his recovery process, as after taking part in portions of team training last week, he is now fully back. This brings decent confidence that the midfielder will be an option for the season finale against Leipzig on Saturday.

Impact Rode is finally starting the next parts of his recovery program, as he has been added to team training but is only training in small parts. This brings a little confidence he could return against Gladbach on Saturday, although he only has two more days to heal. That being said, he is more likely to return against Leipzig in the season finale on May 18, just hoping to take the field again this campaign.

Impact Rode is beginning his long road of recovery, as he is starting to work on his rehabilitation following a knee surgery he received in late February. This is positive news for the midfielder, although it is still up in the air if he will return this season, as with only two months left, it will be an uphill battle to see him take the field again. He is still set to retire at the end of the campaign, so if he doesn't take the field again, we will have seen the last of the German's playing career.

Undergoes surgery, announces retirement Rode has agreed to undergo arthroscopic surgery on his knee while also announcing that he will retire from professional football at the end of the season, he said via social media....

Impact Rode will call it quits after struggling with injuries the last three seasons. He will try to make a return before May after undergoing minor knee surgery. Rode has played for both Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund before landing with Frankfurt in 2019. He's made 323 appearances since 2010, scoring 16 while also winning two Bundesliga titles with Bayern Munich. The midfielder also won the Europa League with Frankfurt in 2022.
