Another active outing Palencia had two off-target shots, created one chance, made three tackles (all won) and two interceptions and drew three fouls during Saturday's 2-1 win over FC Dallas.

Impact Palencia made his third consecutive start, this time as a left-back, and was once again very efficient on defense. Offensively, there were a couple moments to highlight but there is still a lot of room for improvement for the defender to provide significant contributions on that end.

Impact Palencia made his first start for LAFC on Sunday since his winter transfer from St. Etienne, and he helped shut out New England from right-back. He will be competing with Ryan Hollingshead (undisclosed) in the position as the season continues.

Transfers to LAFC Palencia has signed a two-year contract with LAFC with the option to add on another one after transferring from St. Etienne, the club announced Thursday.

Impact Palencia recorded three assists in 25 Ligue 1 appearances (22 starts) at right-back for Bordeaux in 2018/19, but he's mostly played in the second tiers of Spain and France with Leganes and St. Etienne, respectively, ever since. The 26-year-old former Barcelona academy player is now moving to MLS with reigning champions LAFC, where he can replace the departed Franco Escobar as cover for Ryan Hollingshead and Diego Palacios in the full-back positions.
