Retires from national team Ramos announced his retirement from the Spanish National Team in a social media post Thursday.

Impact Ramos is bringing one of the most storied international careers in football to an end, as his 180 caps for Spain since making his debut in 2005 is currently the second-highest mark in UEFA history on the men's side. The 36-year-old won the 2010 World Cup as well as European Championships in 2008 and 2012, and featured in seven of those major international tournaments overall from 2006-2018.
