Marcao - Out three months Marcao has re-injured his quadriceps and is expected to miss the next three months after undergoing surgery, his club have announced.

Impact Marcao struggled with multiple injuries since joining Sevilla and is now out long-term. It's unfortunate given how much better the defense looked when he played, though now reinforcements may be sought in the winter transfer window. Tanguy Nianzou, Kike Salas, Nemanja Gudelj and Karim Rekik will help to bolster the defense while Marcao is unavailable.

Impact En-Nesyri scored twice in seven starts during the tournament and though he couldn't keep them afloat all the way to the final, he still proved his worth in spite of a tough start to the season at Sevilla. Long-term, Montiel should play more as Jesus Navas ages out of the lineup.
