Impact Lyanco returns to the XI in his first match back Saturday in what is a new formation for Southampton after allowing six goals last match. They're rolling with three central center-backs with Lyanco being one of them, something that could reduce his defensive stats in more of defensive look.

Impact McCarthy has a full week of training in him and has shot to unseat Fraser Foster in net after he gave up six goals to Chelsea. McCarthy hasn't played since Dec. 4 because of this injury, but there's a real chance he's back in the starting XI in his first match back, assuming he's ready to go.

He hasn't played since December because of this injury and there's no guarantee Fraser Forster will give up his spot in net once McCarthy is available to start.

Impact It's been two months since Lyanco's injury and it'll likely be another week or two before he's an option again. He needs to get back his fitness in addition to returning to full health. No matter, Southampton have used the duo of Mohammed Salisu and Jan Bednarek in his absence and it wouldn't be surprising if Lyanco struggled for minutes even when available again.
