Lyanco - Transfers to Southampton Lyanco joined Southampton on a four-year contract after transferring from Torino on Wednesday.
Impact Lyanco could be considered a curious pickup by Saints after only playing in 23 league games last season (21 starts), but the departure of Jannik Vestergaard emphasized the need for a steady hand who could take his place. The addition of Lyanco will also make his new club hold one of the younger defensive rotations in the Premier League of which many of the pieces have been brought in this summer. Making everything mesh and getting good fantasy production will be two tasks to juggle for Lyanco this season.

Impact McCarthy was only tested a few times the entire match Sunday. The keeper did concede a questionable goal that should have been saved, otherwise he would have walked away with a possible win and clean sheet. After only two matches it is hard to see what form McCarthy is in right now. However, if his backline continues to step it up, he may become a top option soon enough.

Ward-Prowse continues to be the face of Southampton and with the newly added weapon of Adam Armstrong it will only help his production.

Impact Salisu was terrific once again in the draw Sunday. The defender continues to be the rock that has replaced Jannik Vestergaard after his transfer to Leicester City. Salisu is not afraid to step in the way of a shot and if not for that, Southampton would have lost. If you need defensive peripherals in bunches from a center-back, he is the perfect option.

Impact Armstrong was a constant threat for Manchester's backline and he should have had a brace here. The forward had a few top-notch chances, but he butchered every single one of them. Since his arrival to Southampton, he has done nothing but challenge whoever is in front of him and it is everything the club was hoping for when they bought him from Blackburn. With the combination of Armstrong and teammate Che Adams, it will be a sight to see this season.
