Raphinha - Hamstring injury confirmedRaphinha has been diagnosed with a left hamstring injury and is set for an undetermined spell on the sidelines, the club announced Friday.
ImpactHamstring injuries are quite complicated and the recovery process is not always linear, so Raphinha is certainly going to spend a few weeks sidelined and will miss a few matches at least. The Brazilian winger was in fine form before suffering the injury in the Spanish Super Cup match against Osasuna, as he had registered one goal and four assists in his previous five competitive matches. Lamine Yamal and Joao Felix, along with Ferran Torres, are expected to benefit from more playing time while Raphinha is sidelined.

Jon Moncayola - Active off benchMoncayola came off the bench during the second half Thursday's 2-0 loss to Barcelona.
ImpactMoncayola was not in the starting XI but he did try and change the game late, but in the end was unable to do so. It's been a mixed bag of a season for Moncayola he has started all over the pitch and started two La Liga matches in a row before Thursday's loss. He will hope to continue in the midfield when La Liga resumes for a Jan. 21 clash with Getafe.

David Garcia - Starts in lossGarcia got the start during Thursday's 2-0 loss to Barcelona in the Super Cup.
ImpactGarcia remains one of the first names on the team sheet and the club captain. The center-back has started all but one match this season and has played every single minute in every single match he starts. Garcia might not be the flashiest defensive option but he does pile on the volume and has decent clean sheet chances against most opponents.
