Ongoing negotiations Clark is negotiating a return to Houston, the club announced.

Impact Clark is currently set for free agency at the end of his contract, but Houston seem intent on bringing the goalkeeper back. He's been excellent for three seasons in Houston, including keeping nine clean sheets and making 96 saves in 2024.

Zero saves in loss Clark made no saves and allowed one goal in Sunday's 1-1 (7-6) penalty shootout defeat against Seattle Sounders FC.

Impact Clark was unable to keep the ball from finding the back of his goal Sunday, conceding once in regular time and failing to make a save in the penalty shootout. The 38-year old keeper had yet another productive season in his third with Houston. Over 33 appearances (33 starts), Clark made 96 saves, recorded nine clean sheets and conceded 35 goals. According to spotrac.com, Clark will be out of contract with Houston at the end of the calendar year unless the club picks up his option for 2025 or the veteran decides to hang it up.

Impact Clark had a game to forget, as St. Louis City found the back of the net every time they attempted a shot on target. However, and to be fair with Clark, there wasn't much he could've done in any of the three goals he conceded. Clark will try to bounce back in the final game of the regular season against the Galaxy on Oct. 19.

Three saves in victory Clark had three saves and allowed one goal in Wednesday's 2-1 victory over New England Revolution.

Impact Clark limited opponents to no more than one goal for an eighth consecutive game. This also marked the seventh time in nine outings that he made at least three saves. Up next for Houston is a meeting with St. Louis City SC on Saturday.

With 20 saves and three clean sheets over the last six starts, Clark has been one of the top fantasy performers at his position as of late.

The keeper's next chance to produce will come in a home clash against Real Salt Lake, who scored seven goals over their previous five away matches.

Impact Clark broke his nose in the Saturday draw against FC Dallas last week, and while he's not expected to be out long, Olsen said he won't be available Saturday. This means either Andrew Tarbell or Xavier Valdez will get the nod between the posts for Saturday's clash, while Clark could return against Colorado next Wednesday.
