Impact Thiago had made four appearances off the bench since an initial return from the hip injury and then he was completely out of the squad Sunday against Tottenham. He couldn't escape the problem and now he needs surgery, ending a mostly injury-plagued season. Despite starting almost every match in which he was available, he managed just 1,256 minutes in league play from 18 appearances (14 starts) with 10 shots and 17 chances created. He missed time with three different injuries, but this hip issue was the dagger in his campaign, suffering the initial problem early February.
