Knee injury confirmed Silva was diagnosed with damaged ligaments to his knee after undergoing further assessments and a scan following his exit Sunday in Chelsea's 2-0 loss to Tottenham. Impact Silva completed two successful tackles before leaving the match in the first half with a knee injury Sunday. The scan revealed no tears in his knee, however, he sustained damage to the ligaments. He is back in Chelsea's training center where he will begin a rehab program for his knee. Given his age, this likely puts him out a week, at minimum, meaning Wesley Fofana, recently returned from his own injury, could return to the starting XI.
