Out for season with ACL tear Sands has been diagnosed with a torn ACL in his left knee and will miss the remainder of the season as he will undergo surgery, reports Bailey Johnson of Dispatch. Impact Sands received terrible news after tests confirmed that he indeed torn his ACL in his left knee on Saturday. He will undergo surgery and will begin rehab once he recovers. He has started in all seven matches for the team, so lineup changes will be made in his absence. The Crew were proactive with this news, acquiring New York City F.C's Malte Amundsen to possibly replace him in the midfield. Yaw Yeboah is also another option to replace him, who is also expected to start against Inter Miami until Amundsen's transfer is complete.
