Impact Dawson has finally returned from the groin injury he ended last season with, earning a couple of minutes off the bench late into Saturday's friendly. This is great news for the club, as he was a regular starter last season before his injury, starting in all 25 appearances. That said, he is likely to be in the starting XI for the club on opening day.

Impact Dawson is back in training but wasn't summoned for the first friendly of pre-season. The defender isn't being rushed back into match action to avoid aggravating the groin injury that ended his season. The defender should be a regular starter whenever he can get back to full fitness.

Yerson Mosquera - Returns to Wolves Mosquera returned to Wolves following the end of his loan spell to Villarreal.

Impact Mosquera made 16 appearances (14 starts) for Villarreal and now makes the return back to his parent club. The defender has a chance to earn more playing time in pre-season, but it seems more likely than not that he ends up loaned out once more.

Ki-Jana Hoever - Plays huge role Hoever returned to Wolves after finishing an excellent loan spell with Stoke City.

Impact Hoever was brilliant during his second season in the Championship. The defender contributed four goals and five assists and created 35 chances while making 40 appearances (35 starts.) Hoever will now hope to earn a spot in the first team through the 2024/25 pre-season.

Goncalo Guedes - Disappointing on loan Guedes returned to Wolves following the conclusion of his loan to Villarreal.

Impact Guedes was decent on loan but he wasn't able to live up to his previous production in La Liga. The forward was left with three goals and two assists in 951 minutes on the pitch. It's unclear what his role will look like back with Wolves as he could be shipped off permanently in the coming weeks.

Nathan Fraser - Extends with Wolves Fraser has agreed to a contract extension with Wolves, the club announced.

Impact Fraser will be remaining around the Molineux for a couple more years, with the 19-year-old having inked a contract extension until 2028. He has only ever featured nine times for the club, although this extension should guarantee him more time in the future.

Jorgen Strand Larsen - Dealt to Wolves Larsen has agreed to a transfer to Wolves from Celta Vigo, his old club announced.

Impact Larsen is set to take on a new adventure in the Premier League next campaign, with the forward set to join Wolves following two seasons at Celta. In the past season, he started in 36 of his 37 appearances, notching 13 goals on 82 shots and three assists on 24 chances created. He will likely come into Wolves fighting for starting time immediately, possibly even getting the spot right away, depending on how the rest of Wolves off-season goes.

Pedro Neto - Nine crosses Wednesday Neto generated nine crosses (three accurate) and one corner in Wednesday's 2-0 defeat to Georgia. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 44th minute.

Impact Neto was busy from open play peppering the box with crosses but none were particularly threatening. The winger and the rest of the Portuguese team didn't seem to be at their best with little to play for. Still it's not exactly a confidence-boosting result heading into the knockout stage.

Leon Chiwome - Signs new Wolves deal Chiwome signed a new deal with Wolverhampton until the end of the 2027/28 season, the club announced Friday.

Impact Chiwome made his Premier League debut for the Wolves during the 2023/24 season and recorded three appearances (two starts). The club has faith in his long-term potential, and they'll keep close tabs on his development with an eye toward him becoming a regular first-team player in the next few years.

Craig Dawson - Regular starter prior to injury Dawson scored one goal, provided one assist and kept five clean sheets in 25 appearances (25 starts) this past season.

Impact Dawson started 25 out of the first 27 matches this past season, missing one due to yellow card accumulation and another due to a gashed knee. He then suffered a groin injury and missed the last 11 matches of the season. He was very effective prior to his season-ending injury, keeping five clean sheets and recording 30 tackles, 16 interceptions, 119 clearances and 39 blocked shots. His injury should be fully healed by the time next season rolls around and he will likely maintain his place at center-back in the final season of his current contract.

Hugo Bueno - Bench player in 2023-2024 Bueno recorded 29 crosses (10 accurate) and recorded 20 clearances in 22 appearances (seven starts) this past season. He added one goal in two FA Cup appearances.

Impact Bueno started 16 matches during the 2022-2023 campaign, so it was a bit disappointing to see his minutes nearly struck in half this past season. However, with Rayan Ait-Nouri playing most of the season, Bueno's lack of minutes is not a massive surprise. The 21-year-old will look to compete for Ait-Nouri's spot next season in order to see more playing time, although that currently does not seem very likely.

Matt Doherty - Features in bench role Doherty scored one goal and kept one clean sheet in 30 Premier League appearances (nine starts) this past season. He added one assist and two clean sheets in five FA Cup appearance...

Impact While Doherty did not start often, he had a solid season in his return to Wolverhampton after three seasons with Spurs. He featured mainly off the bench as a wingback on both sides, racking up 31 tackles, seven interceptions, 37 clearances and five blocked shots on the defensive end. The 32-year-old will likely serve a similar bench role next season with Nelson Semedo occupying his preferred position on the right.

Rayan Ait-Nouri - Another decent season with Wolves Ait-Nouri scored two goals and recorded one assist in 33 appearances (29 starts) this past season. He added one goal and one assist in three FA Cup appearances.

Impact Ait-Nouri put together another decent season in his fourth campaign with Wolves. He set career highs in shots (24, eight on target) and chances created on the attack, in addition to career bests in tackles (71), clearances (31) and blocked shots (six). He spent most of the season at left-wingback, with some appearances at left-back mixed in when the formation changed. At just 23 years old, he appears to have locked up his position at Wolves for the near future.

Toti Gomes - Productive season with Wolves Gomes scored one goal, recorded three assists and kept four clean sheets in 35 appearances (31 starts) this past season.

Impact Gomes put together a nice season with Wolves, highlighted by his four goal contributions from defense. He played the majority of the season at center-back but mixed in a little at left-back when necessary. He put up solid defensive numbers, recording 44 tackles, 26 interceptions, 87 clearances and 19 blocked shots. During the season he inked an extension through the 2028-2029 season, so the 25-year-old is set to be a crucial part of Wolves' backline for the near future.

Max Kilman - Plays every minute for Wolves Kilman scored two goals and kept five clean sheets in 38 appearances (all starts) this past season.

Impact Kilman played every single minute in Wolves' 38 Premier League matches and 5 FA Cup matches. In addition to his five clean sheets -- less than half of his total from the 2022-2023 season -- he scored two goals and added an assist in the FA Cup. Defensively he recorded 47 tackles, 39 interceptions, 179 clearances and 37 blocked shots. Given the fact that he's started 75 of the last 76 matches for Wolves, there's no reason to believe he won't be one of the first names on the team sheet again next season.

Boubacar Traore - Support from bench Traore recorded 35 tackles and picked up four yellow cards in 24 appearances (seven starts) this past season.

Impact Traore did not record a goal contribution or a clean sheet this past season, although it is not that surprising given he was the fifth choice in central midfield. He started and played the full 90 minutes on five separate occasions and put together solid performances when given those big minutes, so he will look to find a more consistent place in the team next season to show off his skills.

Tommy Doyle - Quiet debut season with Wolves Doyle did not record a goal contribution and kept two clean sheets in 26 appearances (11 starts) this past season.

Impact Doyle spent this past season on loan from Manchester City, with the move being made permanent in May. It was a fairly quiet season for him as he struggled to find consistent playing time and did not record any goal contributions in league play, however he scored his side's lone goal versus Brentford in the FA Cup in January. The 22-year-old clearly has a lot of talent, and now with a season of Premier League experience under his belt, he should be in for a better campaign next season.

Jean-Ricner Bellegarde - Quiet first PL season Bellegarde scored two goals and provided one assist in 22 appearances (10 starts) this past season.

Impact Bellegarde provided three goal contributions for Wolves, a disappointing return considering he provided four in just three matches for Strasbourg prior to his transfer. He got off to a solid start, recording two goal contributions in his first five Wolves' appearances, with just one in his final 17 appearances. To be fair, he missed 12 games throughout the season due to multiple injuries and could not find a consistent place in the starting XI due to Joao Gomes and Mario Lemina occupying central midfield. With Premier League experience now under his belt, the 25-year-old could be in for a better campaign next season, especially if he is able to remain healthy.
