Cleveland's Trevor Bauer won't start ALCS Game 2 because of drone injury
Cleveland Indians pitcher Trevor Bauer will not be starting Game 2 of the ALCS on Saturday after he lacerated the pinky finger on his right hand, requiring stitches, the team announced Friday.
While the team said Bauer suffered a "non-baseball related injury," Cleveland's president of baseball operations Chris Antonetti reportedly told WTAM 1100 that the 25-year-old sustained the injury Thursday night while repairing a drone.
Which manager Terry Francona all but confirmed to reporters later on Friday:
Josh Tomlin, who was initially scheduled to start Game 3, will start against the Blue Jays in Game 2 instead, and Bauer will be pushed to Game 3 in Toronto on Monday.
News: Josh Tomlin will start Game 2, w/Trevor going in Game 3 Monday.
