Dallas Keuchel predicted to family he would win Cy Young
Before Dallas Keuchel was named the 2015 American League Cy Young Award winner, he was a young left-hander who had won just 21 games combined in his first three MLB seasons. That didn’t stop him from promising greatness.
Back in March, Keuchel told his family he was going to win the Cy Young Award this season. The prediction was documented in writing.

Keuchel, who went 20-8 in 2015 with a 2.48 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 216 strikeouts, won in a landslide with 22 first-place votes. In addition to winning the Cy Young, he has also shown us he has a great sense of humor by doing stuff like this. He clearly wasn’t joking when he said he was going to win the most prestigious award in MLB pitching.
