Texas has no players selected in NFL Draft for first time since 1937

Texas' fall from the top has hit a new low.

For the first time since 1937, no Longhorns were selected in the NFL Draft.

What happened to all the blue chip players former Texas coach Mack Brown signed in the talent-rich state?

The Longhorns had top 10 recruiting classes from 2009-12, according to Scout.com.

One of the biggest prizes from the 2010 class, five-star defensive end Jackson Jeffcoat, was surprisingly not picked up in this year's draft.

The 2013 Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year and consensus All-American was projected to be a third-round pick.

Despite not being drafted, Jeffcoat isn't worried about his future in the NFL. He signed as a free agent with the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks shortly after the draft ended.

The talent in the Lone Star State hasn't disappeared though. Texas A&M had three first-rounders, Texas Tech had two picks, and Baylor had five players drafted.

Since playing in the 2010 BCS title game, Texas fans have suffered through major disappointment, including a 4-8 season in 2010.

Whatever the problem was for the Longhorns, changes have already been made to restore the once proud Texas program with the hiring of new head coach Charlie Strong.
