Kawhi Leonard made his case for MVP on Monday night in lifting the San Antonio Spurs to a thrilling 112-110 win over the Houston Rockets. Late in the fourth quarter, Leonard hit a 3-pointer that gave the Spurs a two-point lead. Then he blocked James Harden’s layup attempt on the next possession. Leonard finished with 39 points -- his fourth consecutive 30-plus point game. Leonard’s heroics firmly puts him in the MVP conversation with Harden, LeBron James and Russell Westbrook.
