Rockets say Russell Westbrook's triple-doubles don't matter in race for MVP
Video Details
The Rockets scored 79 first-half points on the way to an easy 137-125 win over the Thunder on Sunday and while Russell Westbrook out-dueled James Harden in terms of individual statistics the person behind Houston's Twitter account wanted to make sure to let everyone know that wins matter more in the MVP race. This is obviously a playful form of trolling in support of their own player's MVP chances, but honestly the Rockets are absolutely right. The MVP award typically goes to the best player on one of the league's top teams and Harden is averaging a career-best 29.5 points per game while leading the league in assists.
